"I Believe" is a song included on the fourth album Prophecy, released in 2004. The acoustic intro resembles early Korn in style before low-tuned riffs begin. Max Cavalera sings about his belief in God immortality and the song gives faith to listeners about God. New Age ambient lasts for the final 80 seconds of this track.
The song features Asha Rabouin on backing vocals, which can be heard as faint whining sound during the interludes. It is one of two songs on this album (the other is "Wings") and one of four in the band to feature her. "Bobby Burns" plays bass for the first 4½ minutes of this song and then David Ellefson plays bass in the new age outro. The sitar is performed solo during the 14-second intro and flamenco guitar is performed during the interludes.
Lyrics[]
I believe
It must be
I believe
Infinity
I believe
It must be
I believe
Immortality
Every man has to find his own destiny
Just follow your heart and just let it be
I believe in God immortality
I believe
It must be
I believe
Infinity
I believe
It must be
I believe
Immortality
Every man needs to find his own destiny
I believe in God through infinity
Every man needs to find his own destiny
I believe in God beyond mortality
Every man needs to find his own destiny
I believe in God immortality
You can't kill faith
You can't kill God
