"Innerspirit" is a song included on the fifth album Dark Ages, released in 2005. This song features Hornsman Coyote of the Serbian band Eyesburn (who also served as a guest in the last album's song "Moses"), who sings and plays trombone. Coyote provides clean vocals while Max Cavalera provides growling vocals. The lyrics is about the soul inside oneself tells them via the feel that Armageddon is closing in. The song's trippy outro features acoustic guitars and bongos.
"Innerspirit" is the only non-single Soulfly song to have the official music video published by Roadrunner Records. The video was filmed in Europe during the late 2006 tour. It takes place in the music hall, where Coyote can be seen.
Lyrics[]
Clean the sins, be blessed within
Look upon, St. Michael's wings
[Incomprehensible]
Can you feel?
That this Armageddon is near
Can you feel?
The ancient prophecy ago reveal
Soldier of God, like it was before
2,000 years, the lion roar
[Incomprehensible]
Can you feel?
The final Armageddon is near
Can you feel?
The ancient prophecy ago reveal
[Incomprehensible]
Innerspirit, innerspirit, innerspirit
Innerspirit, innerspirit, innerspirit
Innerspirit, innerspirit, innerspirit
Innerspirit, innerspirit, innerspirit
Wealth of their world
Have no meaning if what's coming after
Things of this world
Have no meaning
Things of this world
Have no meaning in what's coming after
Things of this world
Have no meaning
